Mark your calendar! The South Florida Cooperator’sthird annual Condo, HOA & Co-op Expo returns to the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center on December 11th, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Thanks to more than 300 vendors, a full roster of educational programming, and its convenient location, The South Florida Cooperator’sExpo has grown into the largest trade show of its kind in the Sunshine State—and admission is FREE. (Visit www.fl-expo.com for registration details and more information!) It’s a one-stop, custom-built marketplace for vendors, products and ideas that you can’t afford to miss.
The South Florida Cooperator’s Expo is entirely dedicated to connecting condo, HOA, co-op managers, board members, building owners and residents with the professionals and service providers their communities need—in-person, face-to-face, and in real time.
A Learning Experience
One of the main reasons board members, managers, and owners to visit the show is The South Florida Cooperator Expo’s free educational seminars. The 2014 seminar panels will provide in-depth discussion of the legal, administrative, management, and financial concerns pertinent to the region's HOA managers, board members, and residents—and many will offer CEU or CAM credits. These free seminars are specifically designed to help anyone involved in the administration of a residential building, condo or homeowners association in South Florida. All registered attendees can earn CEUs and board certification credit through their attendance at one or more of the seminars.
Seminar presenters include the law firm of PeytonBolin, PL; Associa, a nationwide property management firm; SNAP Collections by AFS, a financial services and collections firm; Absolute Fire Protection, a fire alarm and security systems firm; and the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation (DBPR). The South Florida Cooperator will also be presenting a series of seminars addressing legal, maintenance and management topics.
Free Help and Advice
Admission isn't the only thing that's free at the Expo—in addition to networking and education opportunities, the Expo will feature free advice booths staffed by professionals from a wide array of industries, waiting to answer any and all community association and building-related questions you might have. If you have legal questions about your association, financial questions, or questions about day-to-day management of your building community, you can stop by one of the booths for answers from leading legal, management, maintenance and financial professionals.
Winner, Winner
And attending the Expo can make you a winner. The event will feature dozens of raffles and giveaways throughout the day—including the Grand Prize Reserve Fund giveaway, courtesy of The South Florida Cooperator and Yale Robbins Publications LLC. One attendee’s name will be drawn at random to win a $2,500 contribution to their building or association's reserve fund. The winner will be drawn after registration has closed, and a check for the winnings will be made payable to the winner’s association, care of their management company. Only board members qualify to enter the reserve fund drawing, and attendance at the Expo is required for eligibility. For complete details on how to enter the reserve fund drawing, visit the Expo website, www.fl-expo.com.
