As the coronavirus pandemic has impacted nearly every aspect of daily life around the country and the world, community association boards in the Sunshine State have expressed uncertainty regarding their ability to invoke Florida’s emergency powers statutes. As of last week, on Friday, March 27, the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation issued Emergency Order 2020-04, clearing boards to do just that. The DBPR also has put the deadline for year-end financial reports on hold as well.
